今回は観光の話から入ります。
ブラジルで最も美しい海岸都市のひとつ、北東部の都ヘシフェ。
こんな美しい街からも、クラッキは出現する。
今季、ヨーロッパのサッカーシーンを沸かしたジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノ。それに、1999年世界最優秀選手賞およびバロンドール受賞者リバウド。
ジュニーニョ・ボウヤ
ちょこっと、歴史の話をすれば、「Recife」＝へシフェ（日本ではレシフェと読まれる）とは、英語の「リーフ」、「珊瑚礁」という意味で、写真からもわかるように、町の白い砂浜に沿って珊瑚礁が所どころ、延びている。
そのおかげで、海岸線の波はいつも穏やかで、16世紀、ポルトガルの航海士たちが、ここを停泊所として選んだのであり、今はリゾート地としても最適の景観を誇る。この、海と都会の融合というのが、世界を見渡してもあまりなく、それほど進んでいない観光地化も幸いして、素朴さを残した海岸都市を実現している。
あっ、位置的にはここ。地図上では、ヨーロッパに近い。
もとは、16世紀のポルトガルによるブラジルの植民地化が本格的にはじまったのが、このペルナンブーコ州であり、17世紀には、オランダ人の占領を受けて、町として発展したのが、このヘシフェなのである。
文化的にもブラジル有数の伝統があるので、あっしもヘシフェ出身の知り合いが何人かいるが、みなさん高い教養をもってらっしゃる。街の推定人口は150万人ほど。
ゆったりとした町並みと自然、落ち着いた雰囲気の人々、そしてなかなかコスモポリタンな面も持ち合わせる街なのである。
この街が生み出した才能には、文豪ネルソン・ホドリゲスや、日本でも著書のある歴史小説家ジルベルト・フレイレ。音楽でも、フレーボという独自のカーニバルリズムがあり、北東部音楽を代表する歌手アウセウ・バレンサ、ジャズ界で知らない人はいないパーカッショニスト、ナナ・バスコンセロス、それに日本でもにわかに人気のある新鋭ミュージシャン、レニーニなどがいる。
あっしの大好きなレニーニのアルバム『アンダープレッシャー』
あっしも、何度かこの街に足を運んだことがあるが、素晴らしい街だなと思う。サンパウロのコンクリートジャングル、リオの喧噪とは違って、治安もよく、一年中、温かい気候、食べ物も魚介類が多い（ただし、油もよく使う）。もちろん、美女たちはスタイル抜群で、結構、友達になれちゃうんだな、これが、ムフフ。
夜は、こんなビーチ沿いのバーにいって、恋に落ちようもんなら、住みついちゃうよ、もう。
街には、伝統あるサッカークラブが三つある、スポルチ（ジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノ出身）、サンタ・クルス（リバウド、ヒカルド・ホッシャ出身）とナウチコ。ただし、どのチームも経営難にあり、残念ながら、いまブラジルレイロンのセリエＡ（最上位リーグ）にいるのは、サンタ・クルスのみ。
スポルチ・ヘシフェのホーム・スタジアム「イーリャ・ド・ヘチーロ」、5万人キャパ。
この街を紹介することで、やはりジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノへのオマージュにしたかった。ヘシフェの写真を見て、ジュニーニョのあの摩訶不思議なFKについて、何か手がかりを見つけてもらいたかった。なんて、関係ないか。
もちろん、リバウドにも敬意を表わしたい。リバウドに関して細かく言えば、実は隣町の出身だが、ヘシフェのクラブ、サンタクルスに通いながらサッカー選手になったから、まあヘシフェ出身ということで。
サンタクルス時代のリバウド
Ｗ杯目前のいま、世界中のマスコミがブラジル・サッカーを取材している。しかし、そのほとんどが、リオ、サンパウロまたは選手たちのいるヨーロッパになる。そんななか、今年はじめにフランスで放映されたジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノの特番は、休暇中にヘシフェに戻ったジュニーニョを追っかけた内容だという。
あっしは、ネット上で、ほんの一部しか観れなかったが、ジュニーニョがヘシフェ近隣の美しいビーチを紹介している和やかなシーンがあった。フランスの人々は、リーグ・アン屈指のスター選手が育った美しい環境を知ることが出来て、うらやましい。
日本の制作者たちにアドバイズしたい。ジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノのフリーキックと、ヘシフェの美しい風景を取材してくれたら、あっしは喜ぶよ。
なにはともあれ、ジュニーニョは間違いなく、セレソン・メンバーのなかでも、美しい街に育ったと自慢してもいい、あっし的にはど真ん中の風景。
近頃は本屋に行くとＷ杯が近いからなのかブラジルのサッカーに関する本が多く出版されてますね。
レシフェって思ったより美しくて、良い所なんですね。
以前から外務省の渡航情報にレシフェが注意する場所として掲載されてるので危険なんだろうなと思ってたのですが。

何が理由かは知りませんが、それは、あんまりだ。ブラジリアン・ジョークで返せば、「カワイコちゃんが多くて、危険！」なーんて。
神戸の夜景も綺麗ですが、ヘシフェは、そのまま「ドボン！」と、一泳ぎしてこれる。
ヘシフェ、全く初耳の地名でした！紹介サンクスです。

この間TVでリヨンが優勝決めた後、選手達がシャンパン開けて飲んで歌って踊って
大騒ぎしてるところが放映されてたんですが、
（実は現在一時的に欧州滞在中）
ジュニーニョは兄貴分というか、皆が馬鹿騒ぎしてるところをほんと楽しそうににこにこ眺めながら
落ち着いた雰囲気でインタビューに答えてました。
あの雰囲気好きだな?。
ちょっと内にこもった集中力というか強さが感じられて。。
FK蹴るときとかも異様に集中力を高めてるというか、ものすごい集中した表情しますよね。
いずれにせよあのFKは摩訶不思議、謎だ?。

お気づきのとおり、ジュニーニョ・ペルナンブカーノについて、たしかに、もっと書くことはあります。
たとえば、彼はめずらしく代理人のいない選手なんです。ブラジル人選手としては、異例で、彼は自分の移籍権（パス）を自ら、所属していたバスコから買い取ったんですよね。
自ら、好きなところへ行く、という気持ちの表れだと思うのですが、そこのところ、本人から、もっと聞いてみたいな。
たぶん、どこかのクラブが違約金を払うと行ってきても、ジュニーニョを獲得できないんじゃないかな。
まあ、引退するまで、いや、引退した後も、リヨンに残る気がしますが。
あ、そうそう。パリから直行便出てたはず、ヘシフェ行きの。帰国する前に、ぜひ、どうぞ。笑

逆に聞きたいのですが、（もしも仏国にいらっしゃるのなら）フランス人の彼に対する評価って、どんなものなんでしょうかね？
いやー、フランスではなくスイスに滞在中なのです。
こちらはフランス、ドイツ、イタリアのTVが入るのですよ。ま、全て「母国語」なわけなので。。
リヨン在住の人とたまたま会って話して誇らしげに自慢されたことはあります：
フランス第二の大都市なんだぞ、に続いて二言目には
「フットボール好きか？オリンピック・ド・リヨンはな?...」といった感じで始まって。。。
ジュニーニョはもちろん悪魔のＦＫを蹴るチームのエースなわけですが、
10番の大きな役割として（彼は背番号は8だけど）チームを落ち着かせることができる、
ゲーム中チームがおかしな状態であっぷあっぷしてるときにリズムを取り戻させることができる、
ことがあると思うのだけど、
彼はそれができるプレイヤーですよね。（って半分は私の意見で、彼を頷かせたんだが。。）
あと、数年前は今よりもう少し前でプレイしていたらしいですね。
当時の監督のルグエン（この人有能らしい！）が彼を今のポジションに下げて、新たな能力を引き出したらしいです。
（バスコ時代のプレイとかはあまり知らないのですが。。）
いずれにせよ、リヨンでは「神」でしょう。
彼が下がってボールをもらいにいくと、皆ボールを預けますしね。
ＦＫもほんと重要な試合でばんばん決めますよね。
ミランとの第二戦の前、パパン（だったと思う）が
「彼を救世主扱いして全てを彼任せにするのは止めないと。。」みたいなことを言ってました。
僕が好きなのはあの高い集中力というか、ＦＫの時だけじゃなく、勝負を諦めない気を緩めないあの姿勢ですね?。

ブラジル人選手で失敗するクラブも多くあるなか（Jリーグ含む）、リヨンのように、チームの命運を任せてくれるケースもある。

インテルが84年キリンカップで来日したとき居たらしいですね、観てませんが。今、どこかで、監督やってる気がします。
リヨンという土地柄がよくわからないのですが、ジュニーニョの落ち着いた性格にあってるのでしょうね、たぶん。そういう、目に見えない要素が、ピッチのなかでのパフォーマンスに影響するものなんでしょうね。
