まあ、そもそも、あっしが観るときはブラジル人プレーヤーを注目するためだから、いつでも楽しめるけど。
それで、今回はひととおり観て、ベスト８のチームから、マイ・セレソンを作ってみることにした。
つまり、ヨーロッパ随一の大会のファイナル・ステージで、こんなことが出来ちゃうブラジルのサッカー選手の層の厚さを自慢したいわけよ。まあ、アルゼンチンもできるけどね。
それで、こんなことやって気づいたのは、いまのセレソンの監督も「人集め」という観点では、いたって簡単だな、ということ。だって、CLを見るだけで、これだけのメンツが揃うんだから。まあ、見て下さい、あっしのセレソン：

GK：ジュリオ・セーザル=Inter（ジーダ=Milan、モレット=Benfica）
右SB：ベレッチ=Barcelona

ってな具合で、23人以上になるから、ばっちりW杯グループが組めちゃう。ベンフィカのGKモレット、全然無名だったけど、あの“天然ボケ”プレーが好きになっちゃったなあ。
こんなこと思いついたのも、実はセレソンでもう活躍することのない、ある素晴らしい選手をライナップに加えたかったから、やってみた。
その名は、セルジーニョ。一部では、現在最高のブラジル人左SBと呼ばれている。
ミラン所属の彼は、ずいぶん前からマルディーニまたはカラーゼの控え、または中盤のサイドハーフとして試合の途中しか使われてこなかったが、今季ミランでは、マルディーニの怪我もあり、左SBのレギュラーにいる。
1971年、リオ郊外の町ニロポリス生まれのセルジーニョは意外と遅咲きで、93年22歳でイタペルーナという小さなクラブからプロデビュー。94年フラメンゴ、バイーア、95年クルゼイロと名門を渡り歩いたのち、96年にサンパウロFC入り。ここで左サイドバックとしてチームの中心選手となり脚光を浴びる。99年にミランへ10億円で移籍。
セルジーニョがセレソンに呼ばれないのには経緯がある。彼がセレソンに招集されるようになったのは、98年W杯後。99年のコンフェデカップではルシェンブルゴ監督のした左SBのレギュラーを務めた。01年にはフェリポンが立て直しをはかったセレソンに一度は呼ばれるものの、母の病気を理由に次の機会を辞退し02年W杯に参加するチャンスを失う。
そして、極めつけは02年W杯の後、暫定監督のザガロ（その後、パヘイラが監督に就任し、ザガロはテクニカル・コーディネーターに）の招集に対し、セレソンに二度と招集してほしくないと自ら直訴。その理由は年齢的に見切りをつけたなどと報道されたが不透明のまま。
しかし、これには協会側もカチンときた。ザガロは当時「招集の可否は、いつも選手と電話で事前に確認している、リストの発表後に断ってくるなんて失礼な奴だ」。セルジーニョはもうカナリア色のユニフォームを着ることはない。
しかし、いま34歳のセルジーニョのプレーのシャープなこと。するどいナタのように、左サイドをドリブルで切り裂いていき、相手DFのマーキングを完璧にずらしてから、ポンポンとクロスを入れていく。とくにカウンターになると、早く、低めで、バウンドしながらファーで合わせる感じのクロス出すのだが、これがカッコイイ。
次のバルサとのマッチアップでは、サンパウロFCの元同僚のベレッチとの対決になるかもしれない。
ロベカルの代役が課題のセレソンにとって、セルジーニョという選択肢があってもよかったのにな、しゃあねえ。

実はあっしも左利きなんです。
ちなみに、あっしが一番好きな左利きの選手は、ジャウミーニャです。（この選手も、書きたいことがいっぱいあって、逆に書けない）
セルジーニョもそうだけど、“ヨーロッパナイズ”しないブラジル人選手は大抵、上手く使われないのが運命ですけど、それが魅力でもありますね。

リーガに行ってからは「俺からボール取ってみい」みたいな感じで、試合そっちのけで、楽しみました。
たしかにバルデラマとイメージが被る面もありますね。
ジャウミーニャは、あっしが見たブラジリアン・プレーヤーのなかでも創造力が一番豊富。個人的意見ですが、ロナウジーニョやリバウドよりも上。

あっしも日本で、少年たちのサッカー環境を少しながら見ているのですが、子供たちは意欲に溢れているけど大人たちから与えられる環境の中でしかサッカーを捉えられない。結果、「上手い人優先」のエリート主義に陥る。
サッカーを表現するには技術だけじゃないんだな。どんな、街の隅に忘れ去られた、荒れ地のデコボコのグランドでも、そこに「ひとつのストーリー」、「ひとつの感情」を表現できるか、年齢や、上手い・下手を問わずに、己をプレーに投影できるか。
そう考えれば、音楽や演劇や、その他無数の人間の営みと何ら変わらない。むしろ、それらのフィードバックあって、プレーに深みが出るはず。ロナウジーニョは腕のいいサンバ奏者で、あの足さばきもなかなかのモンです。
KENBOさんのお子さんも、南米・ヨーロッパを問わず「自分を表現できるプレーヤー」になれたら、それだけで一生幸せですね。
